New College is one of Oxford’s oldest and most famous Colleges in Oxford Univeristy. Located near the heart of the city, the main site of this college is one of the most beautiful in Oxford. New College has the earliest planned College quadrangle with spectacular gardens and the medieval city wall can be seen here. New College was founded by William of Wykeham in 1379.
New College choral foundation is one of the oldest in University of Oxford. It s regarded as one of the leading and famous choirs of the world. The College Choir has been awarded Gramophone Awards and the choir has recorded over one hundred albums.
There are around 430 undergraduates and 300 graduate students in New College. The Dining Hall of the college and its dimensions are eighty feet by forty feet making it one of the most beautiful and big in size. The Cloisters and the Chapel have medieval architecture and much of the medieval stained glass and organ in chapel has been recently been restored.
