Oxford Pubs & Bars

The Black Boy

The Black Boy

In the words of Christopher Gray of The Oxford Mail, it is one of Oxford’s ‘selfish secret shared’ with the rest of the world. Voted to be part of the 50 best gastropubs in Britain, the Black Boy has been featured in The Good Food Guide 2010/11, the Michelin Guided 2010/11/12 and in the Caterer & Hotelkeeper May 2012. It is known to have a rather creative menu with the most intoxicating wine tastings to loosen up those knots in one’s mental crevices. Definitely worth a trip here or two, as its reputation truly precedes its value for comfort and good food!

Jacob’s Inn

Jacobs Inn

“I always drink at lunchtime , it helps the imagination”

This is the product of imagination of two friends Johnny Pugsley & Damion Farah, developed at a pizza center. It was a creative challenge for both of them to construct a heaven of foods, which is coincidently found on the Old High Street in Headington.

It came out of 40 years of work experience in different bars and restaurants. They came up with the new idea of informal meetings and relaxation, where simple and home cooked food would be available under an informal space to buy.

We have bagged 2 awards and 3 prints only in 4 years. We have another idea of making a platform for good people and love atmosphere for rural cooking.
